SATURDAY 25TH SEPTEMBER 2010
The Great River Race takes place annually on the Thames between Docklands and Richmond in September. About 300 boats of varying sizes powered by oars or paddles take part for fun and charity.
We are an 8 oar crew in a Drascombe Gig entered into the Great River Race. The name of the crew is the Naiads and Sir Ranulph Fiennes is our Patron.
In addition to the rowers there will be a Cox (Hugo Middleton) and a Passenger/Captain (Peter Booth) as required by the race rules.
Our aim is to take part, enjoy the training, enjoy the Race and raise money for charity - Help for Heroes.
Photographs of the 2009 Race can be viewed here.
Come and see us in training in West India Dock on:
Sunday 22nd August 2010 and Sunday 12th September (tbc)
